Job Summary
Rasan is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Applications Senior Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle of the organization’s internal business-critical applications. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Rasan’s enterprise platforms – including ERP, CRM, Helpdesk, and Call Center systems – are optimally configured, deeply integrated, and continuously evolving to meet the needs of a fast-scaling technology company. You will act as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational challenges into scalable system solutions while maintaining the highest standards of governance, security, and service quality.
Job Objectives
· Own and drive the strategic roadmap for all internal business applications, ensuring platforms are aligned with Rasan’s growth strategy and continuously optimized to support evolving operational needs.
· Maximize the value of Rasan’s technology investments by ensuring business applications are fully utilized, deeply integrated, and deliver measurable ROI across all functions they serve.
· Act as a trusted strategic partner to department heads and senior leadership, proactively identifying opportunities where technology can eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and accelerate business outcomes.
· Build and maintain a high-performance, scalable application ecosystem that supports Rasan’s expansion across markets, business units, and product lines without disruption to operations.
· Establish a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making within the business applications function – setting the standard for how enterprise tools are managed and governed at Rasan.
· Lead vendor strategy and partnership management to ensure Rasan secures best-in-class tools, favorable commercial terms, and reliable service levels that support long-term business continuity.
Job Responsibilities
Application Strategy and Roadmap Ownership
· Define, own, and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap for Rasan’s internal business applications portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, technology strategy, and departmental priorities.
· Conduct regular business application assessments to evaluate performance, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements, replacements, or new tool investments that drive operational value.
· Partner with C-level executives, senior directors, and department heads to understand evolving business requirements and translate them into a coherent, prioritized application strategy.
· Track and report on application portfolio performance using defined KPIs, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
Application Lifecycle Management
· Manage the complete lifecycle of all business applications – from requirements gathering, vendor evaluation, and selection through implementation, configuration, integration, user adoption, and ongoing support.
· Lead complex, cross-functional application implementation and migration projects, ensuring on-time delivery, minimal business disruption, and full alignment with technical and functional requirements.
· Establish and enforce application change management processes, version control policies, and release management frameworks to ensure system stability and minimize operational risk.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all business applications, including system configurations, integration maps, data flows, and support procedures.
Systems Integration and Technical Architecture
· Own the integration architecture between Rasan’s business applications and internal platforms, ensuring seamless data flows, system interoperability, and a unified operational technology landscape.
· Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to design and implement robust API-based integrations between third-party tools and Rasan’s proprietary platforms.
· Evaluate and introduce automation technologies – including RPA, workflow automation, and AI-powered tools – to eliminate manual processes and drive productivity gains across business functions.
· Ensure all integrations are scalable, maintainable, and built to evolve alongside Rasan’s growing technology ecosystem.
Process Automation and Operational Efficiency
· Lead the identification and implementation of process automation opportunities across departments, reducing manual effort, improving data accuracy, and accelerating operational workflows.
· Drive a continuous improvement mindset within the business applications team, establishing regular review cycles to evaluate tool effectiveness and implement enhancements based on user feedback and business outcomes.
· Develop and maintain dashboards and report frameworks that provide leadership with real-time visibility into application performance, utilization, and business impact.
· Benchmark Rasan’s application capabilities against industry standards and best practices, identifying gaps and making evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
Stakeholder Management and Business Partnering
· Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for all business application-related matters across Rasan’s departments, including sales, operations, finance, care, delivery, and support.
· Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels – from end users to C-suite executives – ensuring their needs are understood, prioritized, and delivered effectively.
· Lead structured requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and solution design reviews to ensure business applications are configured to meet the specific needs of each department.
· Proactively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring full transparency throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Vendor Management and Commercial Governance
· Own all vendor relationships across Rasan’s business applications portfolio, managing contracts, SLAs, escalations, and performance reviews to ensure consistent service delivery and value for money.
· Lead vendor selection and procurement processes, including RFP development, vendor evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract management in coordination with finance and legal teams.
· Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs, holding partners accountable and driving corrective action when service standards are not met.
· Proactively assess the vendor landscape to identify emerging solutions and technologies that could enhance Rasan’s application capabilities or reduce total cost of ownership.
Security, Compliance, and Governance
· Ensure all business applications comply with Rasan’s information security policies, data protection regulations, and applicable industry standards across all markets of operation.
· Establish and enforce governance frameworks for business application access control, data ownership, audit trails, and compliance reporting.
· Collaborate with the information security and legal teams to conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability reviews, and compliance audits across the business applications landscape.
· Lead incident response and business continuity planning for critical business applications, ensuring robust disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested.
Team Leadership and Capability Development
· Lead, mentor, and develop the business applications team, setting clear performance objectives, providing ongoing coaching, and creating a high-performance team culture focused on delivery excellence.
· Define team structure, roles, and responsibilities to ensure the right capabilities are in place to support Rasan’s current and future business application needs.
· Build internal capability in business analysis, system administration, and application management through structured training, knowledge sharing, and professional development initiatives.
· Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team culture that embraces change, values innovation, and is committed to delivering outstanding service to internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or Information Technology Management is a strong advantage.
Licenses & Certifications
· Professional certifications in ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Zoho), IT service management (ITIL), or project management (PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
Previous Work Experience
· 8+ years of progressive experience in business applications, enterprise systems, or IT management roles, with at least 3–5 years in a senior managerial position with direct ownership of enterprise application portfolios. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder application implementation and transformation projects in a high-growth technology company or regulated industry. Experience in fintech, insurtech, or financial services is a strong advantage.
Skills and Abilities
· Deep expertise in enterprise business applications including ERP, CRM, Helpdesk, and Call Center platforms, with hands-on experience in at least two major platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Zoho, Freshdesk, Zendesk).
· Strong technical foundation with proven ability to understand and oversee API integrations, system architectures, data flows, and enterprise technology landscapes.
· Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end application implementation and migration projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
· Experience with process automation technologies including RPA, workflow automation platforms, and AI-powered operational tools.
· Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leadership around technology decisions.
· Strong commercial acumen with experience managing vendor contracts, SLA negotiations, and procurement processes.
· Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, cost-effective technology solutions.
· Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience using application performance metrics and dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
· Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken) – required for stakeholder engagement across Rasan’s Egypt and Saudi Arabia operations.
